Arthur Spring

Dr Arthur Spring (1945–2015) was an Irish golf course architect from Tralee, County Kerry. Son of Dan Spring, Kerry All-Ireland football captain and Labour TD, he won an All-Ireland medal in 1963. Spring turned professional at 50 in 1995, gained his European Seniors Tour card in 1997, and launched Spring Golf Design. He designed approximately 20 courses across Ireland, including Beaufort, Castlegregory, Kenmare, Parknasilla, East Clare, Kilrush, Woodstock, and Cregmore Park. His work spanned Kerry, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary, Cavan, and Galway.
