Eddie Connaughton

Eddie B. Connaughton is an Irish golf course architect and agronomist with over 30 years in the sportsturf industry. He began as a trainee greenkeeper at Royal Dublin and Elm Park in 1978, becoming the first in Ireland to receive a City & Guilds Certificate in Greenkeeping (1981). He studied agronomy at Purdue, graduating in 1985. Connaughton co-founded Grass Technology International in 1989 and established Eddie B. Connaughton Ltd in 1997. He has designed or redesigned over 20 courses and consulted for 100–150 more, including Arklow, St Anne's, Castletroy, New Ross, Athlone, Courtown, Balbriggan, Portumna, and Roscommon.
