Abbey Hill Golf Centre is a municipal golf club, in Buckinghamshire.
Abbey Hill Golf Club started in 1975, before the golf course was even open. A small group of golfers, led by the first captain Ted Brookes, formed the club. They used a simple hut called a Terrapin for changing rooms and a small meeting space. There was no bar, just a local pub helping out. Events like dances were held in muddy car parks under tents.
Over the years, members worked hard to build their own clubhouse. They helped with digging, building, and ran the kitchen and bar themselves. In 1989, a proper brick clubhouse opened with space for meals, fun nights, and charity events. Today, Abbey Hill is full of friendly golfers who still enjoy playing matches and supporting local causes. It has been nearly 50 years, and the spirit of the original group continues in every game played.
Visitors can book tee times up to 7 days in advance. Green fees for the main course are £38 Monday-Thursday and £46 Friday-Sunday before 1pm. Twilight rates (after 5pm) are £22.50 every day. There is a deal for 2 ball and buggy from £78 using code B42.
