About: Aberdelghy Golf Club

Aberdelghy Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Antrim. The club was first formed in 1986.

The Aberdelghy Golf Course, which is part of Lambeg Golf Club, was established in 1986 by founders Alex Hamilton and Tom Smyth. It is located on the outskirts of Lisburn and was owned and managed by Lisburn Borough Council, now known as Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council.

The course began as a nine-hole parkland course and was later expanded to 18 holes, with a redesign and upgrade of the new nine holes completed by golf professional and course designer David Jones in 2010. Notable for its affiliation with the Golfing Union of Ireland since 1988, the course's layout was prepared with the assistance of the Council and advice from the late Alfie Collis, MBE.
