Alnmouth Village Golf Club

Alnmouth Village Golf Club, located in Alnwick, Northumberland, holds the distinction of being England's oldest 9-hole links course, having been established in 1869. The course was designed by Mungo Park, a notable Scottish golfer and the 1874 Open Championship winner, who also served as the club's first professional and greenkeeper.

Featuring undulating fairways, the course presents challenges that can affect club selection off the tee, along with greens that are known for being difficult to read, which may challenge a golfer's short game. Although Alnmouth Village is a 9-hole course, it offers alternative tees to enable an 18-hole round for those seeking a longer game, and it showcases expansive views over Alnmouth Bay and Coquet Island from the seventh tee.

Green fees vary based on the season and day of the week. During the summer months (April to October), weekday rates are £40 and weekend rates are £45. Winter rates (November to March) are reduced to £30 on weekdays and £35 on weekends.
