About: Ashford Golf Club

Ashford Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Kent. The club was first formed in 1903.

The golf course was established by twenty members on April 27, 1903, as a seven-hole course at Bybrook, and extended to nine holes by the end of its second year. It began on land about one and a half miles west of its current location, and in 1927 the club acquired 130 acres at Sandyhurst Farm to open a new 18-hole course designed by David Herd.

The course underwent significant redesign and reduction to 100 acres after World War II, with architect C.K. Cotton commissioned for the task. The last major renovation occurred in 1980 when part of the course land was repurposed for motorway construction, which included leasing additional land and reconstructing both the course and the clubhouse.

Visitors are welcome to Ashford Golf Club 7 days a week, subject to availability. Weekday green fees (after 9:30 AM) are £60.00. Weekend green fees (after 1:00 PM) are £70.00 with a handicap certificate or CDH number.

Members' guests are welcome at £30.00 midweek and £35.00 on weekends after 12:00 PM. Contact the professional shop at 01233 622655 (option 1) to check tee time availability. Bookings can be made up to 5 days in advance.
