Beamish Park Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Durham. The club was first formed in 1906.
Beamish Park Golf Club, established in 1906 and set in the grounds of a former deer park, was temporarily dissolved in September 1941 due to World War II, leading to the sale of fixtures and fittings and the repurposing of its land for agriculture. Play was resumed in February 1950 with limited holes available, as most of the land continued to be used for farming at the time.
The course was relocated in 1955 due to the National Coal Board requisitioning the area for its Regional HQ, resulting in the construction of a wooden clubhouse near Beamish Burn. With the acquisition of an additional 65 acres of land in 1963, Henry Cotton designed an 18-hole course that underwent another layout change in 1979, which produced the current structure, including the new par 3 13th hole.
Green fees vary depending on the day of the week. Weekday rates are lower than weekend rates.
Junior green fees are available at £15.00.
