Billingbear Park Golf Course

The Billingbear Park Golf Course is situated on land that was once part of the Billingbear House estate, which was transferred from the Bishop of Winchester to Sir Henry Neville in 1549 by King Edward VI. Although the original Tudor mansion constructed on the grounds does not survive, having been destroyed by fire in 1924, its historical significance includes a potential connection to the authorship of Shakespearean works and a visit from Cosimo III de’ Medici in 1669.

The course has since evolved and includes a challenging par 3 layout known as the New Course.
