Blackwell Grange Golf Club

The Blackwell Grange Golf Club officially founded in 1931, originated as a pitch and putt nine-hole course. The course was extended to 12-holes in 1932. The venue became Blackwell Golf Social Club in 1938. Blackwell Grange Golf Club affiliated with the English Golf Union in 1960, marking a decade of unprecedented development. The club’s name changed twice, to Blackwell (Darlington) Golf Club in 1967 and finally Blackwell Grange Golf Club in 1970. On May 1, 1971, the club expanded, opening an 18-hole golf course.

In 2013 a merger took place between Blackwell and Stressholme, with Blackwell moving from Briar Close to Snipe Lane. Further developments ensued such as clubhouse lounge refurbishments, creation of new locker rooms, and establishment of a new professional's shop. Remodeled holes were introduced in both 2019 and 2020 along with a new swing studio, a Junior Academy Course, and a short game practice area. The club plans to celebrate its centenary in 2031.

Winter rates are in effect from November 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, with weekday green fees at £30 per person. Summer rates apply from April 1, 2025, to October 31, 2025, with weekday green fees at £40 per person.

Twilight rates (after 2:00 PM) during the summer season are £35 on weekdays and £40 on weekends. County Card holders can play weekdays for £20.
