About: Boldon Golf Club

Boldon Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Durham. The club was first formed in 1912.

The golf course at Boldon Golf Club was initially established as a 9-hole layout ('Old Vale') in 1912 to serve the gentlemen of the surrounding villages of Boldon. It was later relocated to its current site, where a new 9-hole course was laid out before being redesigned in 1926 by six-time Open Champion Harry Vardon into the course that exists today.

In 1926, Harry Vardon, a six-time Open Champion, was commissioned to design the course that exists today. Over the years, continuous improvements to the course, facilities, and professional services have solidified the club's esteemed reputation. Following its centenary, the club remains committed to further development and enhancement.

The course has a par of 72, spanning 6414 yards from the medal tees and has strategic bunker placements and tree planting. The maturing trees define the holes and contribute to a course that tests the skill of all golfers.

Visitor green fees are in effect from April 1st to October 26th, 2025. Weekday rates from 10:30 am to 2pm are £31.00.

Weekday twilight rates after 4pm are £24.
