Castlegregory Golf & Fishing Club

The Castlegregory golf course has a history dating back to at least 1897 when it was mentioned in The Sportsman's Holiday Guide as an 18-hole course, to its noted listing in the Golfing Annals until 1905. After a period of disuse following 1907, the idea of reviving the course was revisited in the late 1980s, leading to a meeting in 1988 and the subsequent rental of land for a new course near Stradbally village.

Construction of the nine-hole links golf course began in 1989 under the chairmanship of Dr. Tony Sills, with Dr. Arthur Spring as the course architect and Michael John O'Shea managing the construction. The National Training and Employment Authority, known as FAS, provided labor for the project, which eventually led to the opening of the course with contributions from 75 Founder Members.

Green fees at Castlegregory Golf Links vary based on the season. Peak season (May-September) rates are the highest, while winter rates (November-March) are the lowest. Shoulder seasons (April & October) are in between.

Discounts are available for Golf Ireland members, students, and juniors. Guests accompanied by a full member also receive a reduced rate. Book online to secure your tee time.
