Childwall Golf Club

Childwall Golf Club, established in 1912, is recognized for hosting the Lancashire County Championship in 2021 as well as being a regular venue for Lancashire County matches and other notable amateur events like the Four Counties Junior Tournament in 2016 and the England Golf Northern Boys Championship in 2012.

The golf course, known for its 6,600-yard parkland layout, requires precision from the tee and offers a challenging round of golf. Although not characterized by significant undulations and generally walk-friendly, some holes feature inclines that influence the ball's roll.

James Braid is credited for recommending the course design when the club relocated to its current site at Gateacre in 1938. Subsequent adjustments have been made primarily to extend the course's length.

Childwall Golf Course is noted for its competitive level of play and has a slope rating, which provides golfers with a measure of its relative difficulty for bogey and scratch golfers.
