Clandeboye Golf Club

The Clandeboye Golf Course was established in 1930 and three years later, Clandeboye Golf Club was formed to occupy the site. The course was originally designed by William Rennick Robinson, with a vision that has been upheld and advanced throughout the years.

In 1969, the golf course was expanded to a 36-hole heathland complex by a renowned German golf architect, alongside assistance from Ryder Cup players Peter Allis and Dave Thomas. This expansion included the Championship Dufferin Course, known for its views over Belfast Lough, and the Ava Course, noted for its shorter but challenging layout.

The golf course, set within 320 acres of land, has hosted multiple major golf events, including European Mens' and Ladies' tournaments, the European Challenge Tour, and various Golfing Union of Ireland amateur events. Clandeboye's course has facilitated the Club's team's achievement of seven major titles, which ranks it among the top ten clubs in Ireland.

The philosophy and ambition that motivated William Robinson in 1929 continue to guide the Club's pursuit of excellence. Both members and visitors have the opportunity to experience the golfing facilities that the Clandeboye course offers.
