About: Clandon Golf

Clandon Golf is a members' golf club, in Surrey.

Opened in 2009, Clandon Golf Course's two parkland, nine-hole loops wind through a landscape steeped in history, just minutes from Guildford. While the course itself is young, the land has a rich history.

Flint walls lining the 4th and 5th fairways date back to the 16th century, when the Weston family enclosed the area as part of Clandon Park, Henry VIII granting them such privilege. Later, in 1642, the Onslows took over the estate and it has remained ever since.

Roman coins unearthed during construction hint at ancient inhabitants, with remnants of a Bronze Age tin mine amongst the chalk.

The course itself, though recent, embraces its surroundings. The 13th, 14th, 15th, and 17th holes weave around a quarry, its chalk contributing to the Guildford bypass and adding a unique element to the golfing experience.

Clandon Golf Course offers a good golfing challenge for golfers of all ability, generally in good condition.

Golf societies (minimum of 10 players) are welcome at Clandon Golf. Society rates include bacon bap, tea/coffee, and 18 holes of golf.

Weekday society rates are £32.50 per person, while weekend and bank holiday rates are £44.50 per person.
