Clyne Golf Club

Clyne Golf Club was established in 1921 and designed by Harry Colt, a preeminent course architect of his era. In 2021, Clyne celebrated its centenary year, marking a century since its opening.

The course is a moorland layout offering a test of golf suitable for various skill levels, featuring year-round grass tees and championship-quality greens. Noteworthy for its historical significance, Clyne was named Golf Club of the Year by Wales Golf in 2019 and is listed among the top courses in Wales.

Located on Clyne Common, the course enjoys panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes, including Swansea, the Bristol Channel, and the Brecon Beacons. The 18-hole course retains the original layout from Harry Colt, with the second nine holes being available for play nine months prior to the full course's opening.

Moorland terrain characterizes the course's playing conditions with natural hazards, gorse, and bracken-fringed fairways. Wind can be a factor, adding challenge to play, while the greens are consistently maintained for pace and playability.

Since 1995, the course has seen significant developments that brought it up to County Standards, making it a 72-par course that hosts county and international competitions. In 2016, Clyne Golf Club showcased its enhanced facilities during the Welsh Schools International versus England match.
