About: Conwy Golf Club

Conwy Golf Club is a members' golf club, in North Wales. The club was first formed in 1890.

Conwy (Caernarvonshire) Golf Club was established in 1869 by Scotsmen; Jack Morris from Royal Liverpool created a more professional layout in 1875. The club formed officially in 1890 and expanded to 18 holes in 1895. On the Cookie Jar Golf Podcast (Ep. 361, Nov 2024): "Conwy is just one of these courses that's always had a ton of change."

WWI led to closure and relocation; the A55 and Mulberry Harbours affected later routing. Frank Pennink, Brian Hugget and Neil Coles have all made alterations. George Duncan was professional between 1903 and 1905. The club has hosted championships since 1899 and remains a fine North Wales links test.
