Deane Golf Club

The Deane Golf Club's course was established on June 20th, 1906. It was designed to be an 18-hole course with features including streams and ravines, covering approximately 6700 yards.

Specific challenges of the course include lengthening of holes such as numbers 2, 3, 4, 11, and 15, and the addition of trees to improve the landscape. A bunkering scheme was also implemented in the early 1930s.

The course was severely impacted by a fire in 1915 that destroyed the clubhouse, which was then replaced in 1920 with a new brick building. Further improvements included modifications to the course layout and conditions based on expert advice throughout the years.

In the 1950s, the course experienced financial difficulties, leading to a proposal to reduce it to 9 holes. However, the layout was restored to 18 holes in 1971, and subsequent modifications were made to accommodate development on the adjacent land.

The land on which Deane Golf Course sits was secured by the club on October 17, 2001, ensuring its future. The course has continued to develop and remain a central part of the golf community in the area.

Visitors are welcome at Deane Golf Club. Tee times can be booked by calling the Pro Shop or online. Visitors are asked to register at the Pro Shop upon arrival to obtain their scorecard.

Green fees from 1st April to 31st October 2025 are £32.00 Monday to Friday and £40.00 Saturday/Sunday/Public Holidays. Guest rates are £16.00 (Mon-Fri) and £20.00 (Weekend).
