Dewsbury District Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Yorkshire. The club was first formed in 1891.
The Dewsbury District Golf Course (DDGC) was established in 1891 by a group of local mill owners in the area of Church Street, Dewsbury. The course is situated high on the eastern foothills of the Pennines near Mirfield and was originally laid out by Old Tom Morris.
Noted for its challenging elevation changes and scenic views, the land was historically part of the northern tip of The Great Forest of Sherwood. Throughout the years, the course has been modified by numerous golf architects including Ted Ray, Dr. Alistair Mackenzie, Peter Alliss, and Dave Thomas, each contributing to its current design.
Dewsbury Golf Club offers different rates for weekdays and weekends. Twilight rates (after 1:00 PM) are also available at a reduced cost. Winter rates are valid from November 1st to March 31st.
Guests playing with a member can receive a discounted rate of £35.00 during the winter months. Bookings can be made online up to 5 days in advance.
