Driffield Golf Club

Driffield Golf Course was established in 1923 on Meadow Road in the town's east side and relocated to its current location on the Sunderlandwick estate in 1934. Originally an 18-hole parkland course, it was reduced to nine holes during the Second World War to allow for agricultural contributions to the war effort.

It remained a nine-hole course until the early 1980s when expansion efforts returned it to 18 holes, a development that was completed and opened on September 2, 1990. The course is notable for its water hazards on holes seven through eleven and fifteen through sixteen, with the par 5 eleventh hole featuring multiple ponds and streams that challenge golfers' precision.

Driffield Golf Course includes a substantial practice area with two covered bays next to the A614, additional practice zones with a pitching green, nets, and putting green near the clubhouse. An extra putting green is situated adjacent to the first tee.

The historical information about the designer of the course was not provided. The course is distinguished by its parkland setting and native trees, as well as the incorporation of ponds and a trout stream creating a series of strategic and aesthetic features.

Visitor green fees are available. Weekday rates are £30, while weekend rates are £35.
