Dundonald LInks

Dundonald Links, established by designer Kyle Phillips in 2003, is an inland links-style golf course situated in Ayrshire, Scotland, known for its undulating fairways and intricate green complexes. The course was shaped to feature dune-like formations and strategic tree placements, despite the land not being naturally suited for traditional links golf.

Located near renowned courses such as Royal Troon and Prestwick, Dundonald Links was purchased by Loch Lomond Golf Club and serves as a sister course for members. It provides a diverse playing experience with a variety of hole directions, lengths, and characteristics, including impressive greens with substantial undulations and ample surface area for putting.

Notable holes include the 11th, a short but challenging 120-yard par 3 with a memorable bunker layout, and the 16th, a 470-yard par 4 playing into the prevailing wind which often requires strategic play to avoid bogey. The course offers a modern touch to the traditional links concept and has hosted professional tournaments, such as the Scottish Open in 2017.

Although Dundonald Links lacks ocean views and dramatic elevation changes common to other Scottish courses, it provides a consistent test of golf across its 18 holes.

Green fees vary depending on the time of year, ranging from £70 to £195. There are different rates for accommodation residents and non-residents, as well as special rates for Scottish residents. Second rounds within 5 days are offered at reduced prices.
