About: Dundrum Golf Club

Dundrum Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Tipperary.

The golf course at Dundrum House is located on an estate with a history dating back to the eighteenth century. Originally owned by the O'Dwyer family, the land was confiscated during the Cromwellian occupation and later came into the possession of the Maude family.

Throughout its history, the estate has changed hands and saw the establishment of a Domestic Science College by a religious order in 1909. Acquired by Austin & Mary Crowe in 1978, the estate was converted into a hotel and the golf course continued to operate even after the hotel suffered damage from a fire in September 2015.

Steelworks Investments Ltd acquired the property in March 2016 and has planned a multi-million euro refurbishment of the hotel. As of the latest updates, while parts of the property are being refurbished, the Golf Club and Venue Clubhouse remain open and operate throughout the year.

The golf course itself has undergone a series of improvements, including the addition of a high-tech driving range, new irrigation system, bunkers, and tee boxes. These enhancements are part of the ongoing evolution and change to maintain and improve the golfing facilities provided at the course.
