Dunham Forest Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Cheshire.
The 18-hole course at Dunham Forest Golf & Country Club is located near Altrincham and is set within the woodland of the former Earl of Stamford's estate. The original 9-hole course, designed by John Beasley, was on land that was previously used as an Italian prisoner of war camp by the US Army. The course opened in 1961 with Alex Hay as the first professional. In the 1960s, the layout was expanded to 18 holes when additional land became available.
Ex-tour pro, Dave Thomas took over as club professional and was instrumental in shaping the Dunham Forest course as it is today. Thomas's contributions earned him an honorary club membership.
