About: East Kilbride Golf Club

East Kilbride Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Lanarkshire. The club was first formed in 1900.

East Kilbride Golf Club, originally formed in 1900 at the Show Park, moved to Blacklaw in 1909 and eventually relocated to its current location at Nerston in 1966. The current parkland golf course, which is the only private golf club in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, was designed by Fred Hawtree and officially opened in 1967.

After a devastating fire destroyed the clubhouse in 2010, the club immediately began recovery efforts, resulting in a new clubhouse which opened in September 2011. The course today offers a mature and challenging experience, marked by a variety of tough and diverse holes that have grown in complexity since the club's relocation in the late 1960s.
