About: Effingham Golf Club

Effingham Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Surrey. The club was first formed in 1927.

The golf course at Effingham Golf Club was established in 1927, repurposing land that was once part of Effingham's Open or Common Fields system, with remnants of ridge and furrow strips still visible on the outskirts of the course. It utilized Effingham House as the clubhouse and transformed the surrounding gardens and farmland into the golf course.

Celebrated golf course designer Harry Shapland Colt was commissioned to design the golf course at the time of its founding. In 1931, at a length of 5,931 meters, it was recognized as the second longest golf course in Surrey.

Visitor green fees are available. Weekday rates are £45 and weekend rates are £55. Tee times can be booked online.
