Freshwater Bay Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Hampshire. The club was first formed in 1892.
Freshwater Bay Golf Club features a seaside style golf course located on the Isle of Wight. It begun life as a 9 hole course marred in some controversy becuase the construction of a bunker in 1897 involved digging up an ancient barrow, believed to hold the remains of some ancient 'Britons' (Freeman's Journal - Monday 11th October 1897).
Fred George Hawtree is believe to have played a role in its design. Freshwater Bay is situated on the Afton Down overlooking the English Channel, this 5,725-yard long, par 69 course is a lot of fun!
