Gairloch Golf Club

Established in June 1898, Gairloch Golf Club began on seaside links near the Caledonia Bank, its land a gift from Sir Kenneth S. MacKenzie of Gairloch. Captain A.M. Burgess, the club's founder and course designer, crafted the initial 9-hole layout where members contended with natural obstacles like rabbit holes and the Scottish weather.

By January 1899, members personally tended the greens, as no greenkeeper was hired until 1901 when the club purchased its own maintenance tools. The course, marked by the echoes of military campaigns, witnessed continuous growth and dedication from figures like Capt. Burgess and Harold Davis, enhancing its charm and challenge.

The 9-hole Gairloch Golf Club provides a scenic challenge, nestled between the beach and the Scottish highlands, attracting golfers of all skill levels. Established over a century ago, the club maintains a strong commitment to development, hosting competitive events and boasting a café with panoramic views.

All players must book a tee time before playing. Payment operates on an honesty box system, online, or by card machine when the Clubhouse is open. Day rate is £30. Twilight rate is £15. Member's guest rate is £15.
