About: Gathurst Golf Club

Gathurst Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Lancashire. The club was first formed in 1913.

Gathurst Golf Club was established in 1913 in Shevington, and originated with the foresight of four founding members, Alfred Broach, William J Griffin, Mathew Taylor, and E B Naylor. The first Annual General Meeting was held on December 18, 1913, which set the structure and subscriptions for the new club.

The golf course at Gathurst Golf Club opened for play on December 23, 1913, following the signing of the lease agreement. Notable initial members, including the elected Captain W J Griffin and President M Taylor, were among the fifteen men credited as founding members of the club.

Green fees during the summer season (April to October) are £40 on weekdays and £50 on weekends. The green fee for a guest of a member is £15, and a junior guest is £6.

Booking is required to play the course Monday to Friday. Please contact the Pro Shop on 01257 255235 or click "Book Online" for availability.
