Gorleston Golf Club

Gorleston Golf Club's course was established in 1906 and is recognized as the United Kingdom's most easterly course. Located atop cliffs, the course provides views over the North Sea and features a gently undulating terrain that is accessible to golfers of all abilities.

The coastal winds and the course's small greens offer challenges typical of seaside golf. Enhancements and details specific to each hole, including bunkers, gorse, and strategic positioning, augment the course's natural difficulty and require careful club selection.

One of Gorleston Golf Club's distinctive features is its signature hole, described as 'the most easterly golf hole in the British Isles', where the green is situated a mere 18 feet from the cliff edge. This hole, along with others, demonstrates the influence of wind on play, demanding precise shot-making and thoughtful navigation.

The diverse layout of the course presents a variety of challenges, including narrow fairways, doglegs, and hidden greens. Multiple holes require strategic drives and approach shots to contend with bunkers, bushes, and other natural hazards.

Visitors are welcome to play Gorleston Golf Club. Winter rates, from 1st November to 31st March 2025, are £40 for weekdays and weekends. Summer rates, from 1st April to 29th October 2025, are £50 on weekdays and £60 on weekends.
