About: Haddington Golf Club

Haddington Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Lothians. The club was first formed in 1865.

Haddington Golf Club was founded in 1865 and is situated at Amisfield Park, which is located a half-mile northeast of Haddington. The park, renowned for its historical association with Colonel Francis Charteris and the Palladian Amisfield House built around 1755, has been the course's location since its establishment.

The golf course occupies land with a rich history, previously part of a Cistercian nunnery estate and later used for military purposes during historical conflicts like the Jacobite Rebellion and the Napoleonic Wars. Today, the modern clubhouse of Haddington Golf Club replaces the former Amisfield House, while some original estate features, such as the stable-block and grand gate piers, remain despite deterioration.
