Heswall Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Cheshire. The club was first formed in 1902.
Heswall Golf Club's course was established in 1902 with Jack Morris as the architect, initially presenting a 5115-yard, 18-hole course. Over the years, the course length expanded through various extensions and now measures 6837 yards.
The course underwent significant design contributions from Harry Vardon, Frank Pennick, and Donald Steel, with notable expansions incorporating additional land in 1957, 1977, and 2007. The 1948 purchase of land integral to the course allowed for subsequent hole reconfigurations in 1958 and 1977.
In 2005, the decision to further expand the course was enacted, with Donald Steel & Partners managing the architectural work. This expansion concluded in July 2007, resulting in the current layout of the golf course.
Subsequent developments in 2015 included the addition of a 12-bay driving range and several practice greens as well as the upgrade of six greens to USGA standards, which contributed to the continual improvement of the course's facilities and playability.
