High Gosforth Park Golf Club

High Gosforth Park Golf Club, initially known as the John Jacobs Golf Centre, was established in 1966 with only a driving range. It expanded in 1971 with the addition of a nine-hole course and renamed to Wideopen Golf Club.

The club underwent several changes over the years, including a takeover by High Gosforth Park Company in 1977, a change in management to Gosforth Park Golfing Complex in 1986, acquisition by ARC in 1994, and another name change to High Gosforth Park Golf Club in 2023.

The facility currently includes an 18-hole golf course, a 28-bay driving range equipped with Toptracer Range technology, an 18-hole mini golf course, a bar and restaurant, a golf shop, and coaching facilities. The club caters to members and non-members and provides qualified instructors for coaching and tuition, with special programs like the Junior Academy during the summer holidays for younger players.

Situated on the same grounds as the Newcastle Racecourse, High Gosforth Park Golf Club serves as a location for corporate events as well as individual leisure activities. The club is located at High Gosforth Park in Newcastle upon Tyne and offers comprehensive golfing facilities to its patrons.
