About: Hilton Park Golf Club

Hilton Park Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Dunbartonshire. The club was first formed in 1927.

The golf course at Hilton Park was established in 1927 by James Braid, an acclaimed golf professional and course architect. Initially measuring 6,700 yards with a C.S.S. of 78, it was considered particularly challenging and featured a rare par 6 hole.

Following feedback that the course was too long and strenuous, James Braid revised the design in November 1929, reducing it to 6,100 yards and removing the par 6. Subsequent enhancements over the years have included design improvements and extensive tree planting, resulting in the current formation of the courses.
