About: Ilkley Golf Club

Ilkley Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Yorkshire. The club was first formed in 1890.

Ilkley Golf Club was established in 1890 in the West Riding of Yorkshire, the first golf course in the region and the third in the wider county. Initially, the club members built a nine-hole course atop Ilkley Moor and subsequently created a new, regulation-size course in the valley below, beside the River Wharfe, which was completed and ready for play by June 1898.

Notable golf course architects Harry Colt and Alister Mackenzie, who was once a member of Ilkley Golf Club, advised on the course's design in 1908. Their collaboration continued over several years, with Mackenzie finalizing plans for the course's improvement in 1926, which included a comprehensive plan that was approved for future implementation.

Green fees vary based on the time of year. From May to October, weekday rates are £85 and weekend rates are £95. Twilight rates are available April to September, starting at 3pm in April and 4pm from May to September for £45.
