About: Irvine Ravenspark Golf Club

Irvine Ravenspark Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Ayrshire & Arran. The club was first formed in 1907.

The Irvine Ravenspark Golf Course was established in 1907 when the Recreation Committee of the Council, considering the increasing popularity of golf, decided to create a municipal golf course. The feasibility study for the course was conducted by Mr. Tulloch of Gailes, and upon his recommendation, the layout was approved with an estimated cost of £90 for setting up the course, which included labor and equipment costs for nine greens.

Provost Borland officially opened the course on June 8, 1907, and within only five weeks from when the council passed the resolution to build the course, it was completed with a length of 2475 yards. Notably, the course had no bunkers at the time of its establishment despite being situated on sandy soil, and it quickly attracted 300 interested parties before opening, with 250 yearly tickets sold.
