Kedleston Park Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Derbyshire. The club was first formed in 1946.
The golf course at Kedleston Park was established following the closure of Markeaton Golf Club in 1938 due to the expansion of Derby. The land for the new course, set within the grounds of Kedleston Hall, was chosen and course architect James Braid was commissioned to design it.
World War II delayed construction until 1946, when Kedleston Park Golf Club was officially formed, and John Morrison of Colt, Alison, and Morrison finalized Braid's plans. Two construction companies, J R Strutt Ltd and Frank Harris Ltd, took on the project, reusing machinery from the defunct Markeaton Club.
Over the years, Kedleston Park Golf Course has maintained its original layout while undergoing developments, such as a complete reconstruction of the greens in the late 1990s to meet USGA's sand-based specifications. In more recent years, under the guidance of Tom Mackenzie from Mackenzie and Ebert, the course has seen renovations to its bunkers, mounds, and greenside complexes, in part to prepare for hosting Open Qualifying events starting in 2018.
