Kilspindie Golf Club

The golf course now known as Kilspindie was established in 1867 originally as part of the Luffness Golf Club, making it the 35th registered golf club in the world. The original course was located on land now part of a Nature Reserve, with little remaining evidence of its exact layout or the first clubhouse.

After a split in the membership in 1894 due to a proposed relocation, some members formed what is now Kilspindie Golf Club on links land provided by the Earl of Wemyss and March, and the club was officially renamed in 1899. Despite periods of hardship, particularly following the World Wars, the dedication of members ensured the club's survival and continuity.

Notable features on the Kilspindie course include two stone structures, the 'Target' at the 5th tee and the 'Magazine' at the 12th tee, relics from when the links were shared with a local rifle club. The course has seen few alterations over the past century, preserving the traditional challenges of the Scottish links style.

Long established as a favorite for enthusiasts of hickory-shafted golf, Kilspindie Golf Club provides the option for players to rent such clubs and experience the game in a historical manner. The Club is located at The Clubhouse, Aberlady, EH32 0QD.

Green fees for a round are £100, applicable on both weekdays (Mon-Thurs) and weekends (Fri-Sun). Please note that these prices are a guide and are subject to change depending on your date and time of play.
