King's Lynn Golf Club

The King's Lynn and District Golf Club course was designed by James Braid and officially opened on 30th May 1923. The design process commenced following Braid's approval of the proposed location at Leziate, near King’s Lynn, with construction starting on 26th April 1922.

Originally the golf course was part of an operational structure that included a limited company for land ownership and maintenance, while the golf club managed competitions and social events. The course joined the Norfolk County Golf Union in 1926, and its scratch score was first established that year.

After half a century at its original site, the golf course moved to a new location in 1975. This new course was the first to be designed by the celebrated partnership of Peter Allis and Dave Thomas, and it is noted for its challenges and the consideration it receives as a premier inland course in East Anglia.

Visitors are welcome to play the course, with tee times available midweek and on Sundays. Bookings can be made by contacting the Professional’s Shop on 01553 631655. Twilight rates are available after 2:00 PM from April to September.
