Kintore Golf Club

The golf course at Kintore was initially a 9-hole course, established by a local landowner and leased through the Burgh Council. It was operational before J E Sutherland MP hit the "original driver" to open the club on 10th September 1911, an artifact that is now housed in the clubhouse.

In 1975, the Club acquired the course and initiated a program of improvements and expansions. By 1981, a new modern clubhouse had replaced the initial corrugated iron structure, providing a lounge and dining room with views of the 1st hole, and this facility was further enlarged in 1995.

Further expansion occurred with the purchase of additional land in 1988 at Balbithan, north of the original course, which facilitated the construction of 9 new holes. Consequently, the course was able to offer a full 18-hole experience upon the opening of the new holes in 1991.

The course features excellent natural drainage, continuously enhanced by improvements, which contributes to minimal disruption of play throughout the year. It is situated in a location that provides views over the River Don and the Don Valley leading towards Bennachie and the Grampian Mountains.

Kintore Golf Club has consistently focused on maintaining both the character and the quality of the course to ensure a satisfying golf experience.
