Knowle Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Gloucestershire. The club was first formed in 1905.
The Knowle Golf Club was established in 1905 and initially provided a 9-hole course laid out on the old Race Course, with expansion to 18 holes completed in 1912. The golf course is known for its challenging layout which includes fast greens, well-manicured fairways, and strategically placed bunkers.
In 1925, the course was relocated, and the present layout was officially opened in Brislington by the Lord Mayor of Bristol; subsequent ownership of the course transferred to the club in the late 1930s. A notable feature of the course is its location in a parkland setting, which has endured despite the urban development that has since surrounded it.
Visitors can play on a roll-up basis, ensuring they avoid tee reservations. For enquiries more than one month in advance, please call 0117 9770660 (option 4). Groups of 12 or more should refer to the Societies & Golf Day Page.
