Launceston Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Cornwall. The club was first formed in 1899.
The Launceston Golf Club was established in 1899, initially within the Mowbray Race Course and known as the Mowbray Golf Club. In 1900, the club was renamed the Tasmanian Golf Club, and the current site was acquired with the course opening on 13th April, 1901.
In March 1908, it adopted its current name, Launceston Golf Club, and has a historical significance as Tasmania's oldest 18-hole golf course and remained the only one until 1921. Moreover, the course has served as a venue for the Tasmanian Open Championship and the Australian Junior Championships in 1988.
Located near Launceston Airport and CBD, the Launceston Golf Club serves as a private members club with readily accessible suburban amenities. The golf course itself features a par-72, 5,808-metre layout and offers various challenges to golfers of all levels.
