Lilleshall Hall Golf Club

Lilleshall Hall Golf Course was established in 1932 when Herbert Ford decided to develop the first nine holes, designed by the distinguished golf course architect Harry S Colt. The course was further expanded in 1935, with an additional nine holes being created through intricate landscaping, which included the clearing of over 5,000 trees and significant contouring of the greens under the guidance of Harper Adams Agricultural College.

Following World War II, the club initially only utilized the wooded nine holes until 1961 when the original nine holes were restored. In 1992, Lilleshall Hall Golf Club acquired the course and woodlands from the Sports Council and financed improvements through loans from members and various organizations, leading to the construction of the current brick clubhouse which was officially opened in 2004.

Significant enhancements have continued over the years, with the extension of two holes in 2016 to create challenging par 5s, funded by club member loans and executed by the club’s greens staff. Further improvements have been made since 2018, providing excellent greens and resilient fairways, and upgrades to the practice facilities under professional supervision have benefitted members and visitors.

Standard green fees are £55 on weekday mornings and £65 on weekend mornings. Afternoons on both weekdays and weekends are £45.

Throughout the summer, tee times after 2pm can be booked on the same day for a reduced rate of £30. These twilight rates are subject to availability and must be booked through the Pro Shop. Contact 01952 604776 option 1 to book.
