Limpsfield Chart Golf Club

Limpsfield Chart Golf Club was established in 1889, marking it as one of the oldest golf clubs in Surrey; the only older clubs in the region being Guildford, Reigate & Redhill, and Epsom. The first practical layout of the course was designed by Mr. A. M. Bell, a Scotsman living at the Manor House in Limpsfield.

The course is notable for its 9-hole structure with 18 different tee positions, creating a par 70 layout with a slope rating of 116. Its traditional heathland style is preserved, accompanied by modern course management techniques to maintain its condition and playability.

Limpsfield Chart's course features a Ladies' section since its inception, initiated in 1889, this was significant as women's golf clubs were still a relatively new concept, with the first known being formed in 1867 at St. Andrews. The club's history is also marked by a record set by a member, Mr. Frank N. Streatfeild, who played sixteen nine-hole rounds (144 holes) in a single day in June 1902.
