Lingdale Golf Club

Lingdale Golf Course was established in 1966 by course architect David Tucker, who purchased 60 acres of land in the Charnwood Forest and by 1967 had completed the original 9-hole course. Ownership then transferred to Brush Engineering of Loughborough, who continued to develop the course for the following 14 years.

In 1982, the members of Lingdale Golf Club purchased the club and in the late 1980s expanded the course to 18 holes after acquiring additional land. A significant greens renewal program started in October 1999, resulting in all 18 greens being reconstructed to USGA specifications, offering quality playing conditions year-round.

The course saw the opening of a new clubhouse and professional shop in the summer of 2006, enhancing the facilities to reflect the growing stature of the golf club. Throughout 2017, the club celebrated its 50th anniversary with various events, including competitive play and special functions.

Over the years, Lingdale Golf Course has hosted significant County and Midlands competitions, such as the Midland Golf Union Seniors Autumn meeting and the SLRGC four counties competition, which were notable achievements in the course's history. A book detailing the history of the course, "The Anniversary Book," authored by member Phil Fricker, was also published.

Standard visitor green fees are £40.00 on weekdays and £60.00 on weekends. A day rate is available for £50.00. Reduced rates may be available online.

Guests of members and county card holders can play for £25.00 midweek and weekends. Juniors under 18 play for half the advertised rate.
