The golf course at Lingfield Park was added to the existing racecourse estate in June 1987, with an initial plan that also included a range of leisure facilities. However, the additional facilities such as a motel and swimming pool were not constructed following planning considerations.
Lingfield Park's golf course is a feature of the Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club, which opened in May 2010. The 18-hole golf course is accessible to both members and hotel guests and has been a venue for the Surrey Open.
