Llanwern Golf Club

Llanwern Golf Course was established in 1928, one year after the first Ryder Cup match, and has a history connected to notable figures like Walter Hagen, who played an exhibition match there in 1937 to mark the opening of the club's new 18-hole layout. The course offers a mix of challenges, including a gentle start, birdie opportunities on several par fives, and strategic holes adjacent to Dockwell Wood.

This 18-hole, par 70, 6,177-yard parkland course has been recognized by Peter Allis as one of the top three hidden gems in the UK. Llanwern Golf Course, acclaimed for its high-quality greens, has been the venue for numerous PGA Professional events, international matches, and frequent national and county competitions. The facilities feature a 250yd grass practice area, two practice greens, a short game area with a practice bunker, and leading indoor technology with Trackman 4.
