Looe Golf Club

Looe Golf Club was established in 1935 and was designed by six-time Open champion Harry Vardon. It is an 18-hole heath and parkland course measuring 5,888 yards from the white tees, set around Bindown which offers high viewpoints and panoramic views of the Cornish coast and countryside.

The course is known for presenting a rigorous test of golf for players of all levels, from beginners to seasoned golfers, with the wind significantly impacting play. The clubhouse features Harry's bar and in-house catering, providing food and drink services for golfers post-round.

Henry William "Harry" Vardon, the course's designer, is celebrated at Looe Golf Club and was one of the initial golf superstars, achieving six Open Championship wins between 1896 and 1914 and a U.S. Open win in 1900. Vardon's influence is honored throughout the club, and he was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974.

The golf course is noted for its striking panoramic views which encompass Dartmoor, the Tamar estuary, Looe Island, and the surrounding countryside and Cornish moors. These views provide a unique backdrop for golfers as they navigate the course.

Facilities at the club include a welcoming clubhouse, a fully licensed bar, and catering services for visitors. Amenities such as extensive free parking, a practice putting green, and a practice net and range are also available to enhance the golfer's experience.

Green fees vary depending on the season. From 1st April 2025 to 30th September 2025, weekend rates are £55, weekday rates are £40. Twilight rates (after 3pm) are £25.00. From 1st October 2024 to 31st March 2025, weekend rates are £40 and weekday rates are £28.

Advance booking of tee times is required. County card rates and member guest rates are also available.
