About: Lowes Park Golf Club

Lowes Park Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Lancashire. The club was first formed in 1915.

Established in 1915, Lowes Park Golf Course was originally located by the old brickworks at the bottom of Lowes Road, relocating to its current position in the 1930s. The course underwent a redesign by Peter Alliss, which included the construction of two new holes due to the building of the M66 Motorway that resulted in the loss of two existing holes.

Notable for being a nine-hole course, Lowes Park Golf Course features a unique setup where the 11th hole has a separate green from the 2nd hole, and each has different tees for the 'back nine,' presenting diverse challenges during a single round. There are four sets of tees available—white, red, blue, and yellow—with the white tees reserved for club competitions.
