Lymm Golf Club is a members' golf club, in Cheshire. The club was first formed in 1907.
Lymm Golf Course was established in 1907, influenced by the construction of the Manchester Ship Canal which was completed in 1894 and the arrival of the railway in Lymm. The course originally consisted of nine holes situated on elevated land resulting from the deposition of spoil from the digging of the canal, specifically housing holes 3 to 10.
Adjacent land transformations, including the diversion of the River Mersey through the construction of the Butchersfield canal, affected the landscape of the course, altering terrain near the 6th green and across other sections of the layout. Through the efforts of Mr Alfred Watkin of the Ship Canal Company, who also served as the club's first President, and the early members, the course was extended to 18 holes in the early 1970s following the acquisition of additional land.
The course, bordered by farmland and the Manchester Ship Canal, spans 6341 yards and is a par 71. Notable is the modern clubhouse, rebuilt in 2007, coinciding with the club's centennial.
