Middlesbrough Golf Club

The Middlesbrough Golf Club was established in 1908 when a group of Middlesbrough businessmen, including Mr. Dormand Stewart Jnr, decided to create a golf course within the town. Their initial meeting took place on November 20, 1908, and by December 14 of the same year, the club had secured land, appointed a golf professional, set up trustees and banking, and accepted eighty members.

Designed by five-time Open Championship winner James Braid, the 18-hole parkland course at Middlesbrough Golf Club opened at its current location in 1937. The course saw modifications in the 1980s, the addition of new holes in 1990 through acquired woodland, and greens remodeling with improved drainage in 1999.

Visitor tee times are available throughout the week. Book online or contact the pro shop for reservations. When temporary greens are in place, winter fees are charged.

Winter rates (November 1st - March 31st): £36 Monday-Friday & Weekends. Spring rates (April 1st - May 14th): £42 Monday-Friday, £47 Weekends. Summer rates (May 15th - August 31st): £51 Monday-Friday, £56 Weekends. Autumn rates (September 1st - October 31st): £42 Monday-Friday, £47 Weekends.

Junior rates are also available, with a summer rate of £20 and a winter rate of £16 when not playing with a member.
