Monkstown Golf Club

Monkstown Golf Club, established in 1908, features a mature parkland layout and has matured into a well-defined course which incorporates a notable hill that provides panoramic views of the River Lee and Cork's lower harbour. The course is recognized for hosting various events by the Golfing Union of Ireland and the Irish Ladies Golf Union since its inception.

The course presents a challenge through the use of stately trees that line its fairways, and it includes the historic outline of a castle dating back to 1636, which previously served as the clubhouse until 1971. An extension added in 1971 introduced additional complexity with several water features, demanding both subtlety and courage from golfers.

Individual green fees are €65.00 during the week and €85.00 on weekends. Society rates are €45.00 midweek and €55.00 on weekends.
